All students of the college and all members of the staff are members of the library
The library will work under the open access system for Staff and PG Students. It will work under the closed access system for UG Students.
Books must not be removed from the premises of the library without special permission from the librarian.
Books will be issued under the student's roll number and the section in which he is studying.
Each student will be supplied with two tickets.
Applications for books must be made in the prescribed slips available in the library before 2.00 P.M. Books will be issued between 4.00 P.M. and 5.00 P.M.
One book will be issued for each ticket.
Students should use their own tickets only.
When a book is received from the library it should be examined carefully. If there be any damage it must be immediately brought to the notice of the Librarian otherwise the last borrower will be held responsible for the damage.
All marking, underlining clipping or annotating of books are absolutely forbidden.
Books should be returned to the Librarian personally and the surrendered ticket should be taken back.
Students are prohibited from sub – lending to others the books borrowed by them.
Books should be returned on or before the last date stamped on the return slip in the book if that date however happens to be a holiday the next working day will be considered as the due date.
A student's absence from the college, on the due date will not be considered as a valid reason for failure to return a book on that date.
A book may after being returned, be taken again for a second time with the special approval of the Librarian provided there is no other application for it. But in no case will an extension be allowed for second time.
The Librarian for the purpose of cataloguing or for any other purpose recall a book at any time even if the normal period of loan has not expired.
Book labels should not be defaced or torn. For any liable' spoiled of defaced in any manner a fine of 50 paise will be levied.
If a book is lost or damaged the student is liable to replace the book or to pay a sum of money double the price of the book borrowed.Students should use their own tickets only.
When a particular volume of set of books are lost the borrower may be called upon to replace the whole set. Books will not be issued to those who are in arrears in respect of the library fines.
The library administration reserves the right to withhold to the issue of some costly books.
The borrowers tickets should be surrendered to the librarian at the end of each year. They will be reissued at the beginning of the next year.
Penalty for the loss of a ticket is Rs.20/- and the student concerned will be held responsible for the book borrowed on it.
A student failing to return the book on the due date will be fined Rs. 1/- for each day of delay.
The Periodicals supplied by the library are available for reading between 9.30 A.M. and 3.30 P.M.
Periodicals and the dailies kept on the table should in no case be removed from the reading room.
Students d o in q any damage to any periodicals will be required to make good the loss and shall be liable for disciplinary actions.
Strict silence and decorum should be observed in the library.
The Principal may at his discretion exclude from the privileges of the college library any borrower who fails to be serving the aforesaid rules of the library or misbehaves in the library.
