About the Department
The Department of Botany was incepted in the year 1964 with a Pre-University Course. In the year 1965, Natural Science was introduced. In the academic year 1971-72, the Department of Botany started its Undergraduate Course. The Department flourished a Post Graduate Degree in Botany in the academic year 1975-76.

Empower the pupils of poor and rural areas for the betterment of society and environment.
Mission
Apply the knowledge of Plant Science with a blend of innovative research for the upliftment of mankind and conservation of nature.
